A Trend You Shouldn't Adopt... Even If You are Angelina.

The other day I passed a beautiful girl in the street wearing something I can only classify under a fashion "don't." What was she doing that was so unflattering you might ask? She had jumped on board the fleeting trend of the harem pant.

These M.C. Hammer-esque pants have seen a resurgence ever since they debuted in force at the Spring/Summer 2010 fashion shows. While the idea of the light fabric and billowing thighs makes perfect sense for staying cool, the result is horrible to view in public. It reminds me of that sweeping trend in late 2002 where college females just started wearing pajama bottoms everywhere. What's even worse is that this trend has even brought the "drop-crotch" sweatpant into high fashion shows. Sure, Rick Owens may view these as a staple investment, but then again, even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time.

Final Verdict: This trend is already seeing a decline, so save your money for something that may stick around longer than for 6 months every 15 years.
