Get Thee To A Tannery

When many people are looking for classic leather pieces, they have a tendency to turn to the basic colors of black or brown. These are great colors and work well with many outfits, but with this narrow mindset, you can overlook amazing options. Tertiary colors are often purchased in smaller amounts by retailers every season, but that shouldn't keep you from searching them out. For example, Brooks Brothers purchases their black, brown, and tan cashmere-lined men's leather gloves in a 5:3:1 ratio. A very rich statement color that you should consider for purchases is the tan color wheel. Antique tan, saddle, and cognac are just a few of the many common names this hue can go by, or off-the-wall designations like 'weathered wood' (a J.Crew moniker). Whatever the label, the tan coloring often allows your wares to stand out while still being in a timeless rich color that will withstand the changing tides of fashion.

Final Verdict: Don't argue, just get some tan.
